Baby got Razorback – Vlka Fenryka army project log pt.9

Calling all warriors of Fanhalla! It’s been a while but lo and behold the Alpha is back at the paintstation. I will give a more thorough runthrough of my experiences from the last No Retreat tournament in Gibraltar – where my Wolves did quite good considering I had only played 3 games with the new codex prior to the event. In the meantime here are some pictures of my recently finished Razorback, and Rapier Quad Friend-Maker.Read More »

Hammer time! – Vlka Fenryka army project log pt.8

Hello wolfaholics and welcome back to the final Space wolves update before I fasten my seatbelt and travel to Gibraltar to attend the 7th No Retreat tournament! I have been procrastinating my Wulfen unit for a very long time, partly because I wanted to get the conversions right, but also because I have been afraid of laying my brush on them. Today I’m happy to show you the result of my latest weekend paintathlon. Buckle up, put on some MC Hammer and get ready to collect some skulls!Read More »

Speaker of the Dead and Great Company Ancient – Vlka Fenryka army project log pt.7

Hey again reader! I know I’m bothering you with nothing but Space Wolf content, but with the No Retreat 7 tournament around the corner all I’m doing right now is  #makingspacewolvesgreatagain. Another week have passed and this time I managed to finish my Runepriest/Speaker of the Dead, and a Company Ancient (or some sort of veteran) standard bearer. Here are some pictures!Read More »

Brothers in wolf – Vlka Fenryka project log pt.6

This weekend I managed to maul through another 10 power armored dudes for my Space Wolves army. I finally finished the lascannon Long Fangs, as well as another 5 Tacticals/Grey Hunters. I’m really enjoying the different painting stages and color palette for this army which helps a lot when you have so many marines to finish. Next up on the table is a unit of Wulfen to finish my No Retreat 7 army, and then I will probably  branch off deeper into 30k again with another Leviathan Dreadnought and some Rhinos. Here are some pictures of the finished units.

Have you ever had that annoying sibling who believes in sparkly magic and loves candy red clothing? Well chances says you have, but fear not because there is a steaming hot cure all the way from the forges of Fenris spelled A-R-M-O-R-E-D F-U-R-Y! I managed to finish two new war machines for my Space Wolves legion this weekend, and thought I might as well throw some pictures up before I take some well earned vacation. Enjoy!Read More »

Painting battle damaged power armor – Vlka Fenryka project log pt.4

Welcome back to another update from the wolf lair! This week I’m going to run you through the process of how I painted and weathered my Space Wolves’ power armor! When I jumped on the Astartes train I knew from the get go that I didn’t wan’t shiny, clean, and ultra highlighted little dudes. So, since I had some cool products in my dungeon drawers that I had wanted to try out for a long time, I thought this was the time to push myself and do something more advanced. Let’s dig right in.Read More »

Another pup to join the pack – Vlka Fenryka project log pt.3

Heyooo vikings of the e-fjords! Welcome back for another week of hobby therapy. I’m currently working on a really nice tutorial on how I painted the battle-damaged power armor for my Space Retrievers. As it is not quite finished yet, and since I found a really nice inspo-wave to surf on this weekend, I managed to paint up my Leviathan Dreadnought in one go – I snapped some pictures of it for you to feast upon as I continue on the painting article.

Resin reinforcements! – Vlka Fenryka project log pt.2

*Bark* *bark* *growl* k-9 friends! I don’t really like to post WIPs of grey plastics but I just felt I had to get these pictures out so you can follow the current state of my wolf project. This week I got a care package from my good bud Martin at WargamesUK containing some much needed teeth for my army! He provided me with the anvil smasher himself – Arjac Rockfist! So, I finally took the time to sit down with some resin from the dark corners of my closet and the rest of the haul I brought home a couple of weeks ago, and spent a good four hours of late night glue-jitsu!
